Shreya Ghoshal LIVE

Popularly known as the most redefining singer and distinguished voice of our times, Shreya Ghoshal, walked into every household through her inimitable rendition, from the soundtrack of “Devdas”, a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, marking her debut, also landing her the coveted National Film Award and  Filmfare award for Best Playback Singer and the RD Burman Award For Best New Music Talent.

Shreya had no looking back after Devdas. She went on to record for iconic music composers, namely AR Rahman, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Ismail Darbar, Vishal Shekhar, Salim Sulaiman, Pritam and many more. Her melodious voice became a distinct feature in many soundtracks, across many languages and regions, giving her the distinction of becoming the most versatile singer of all times. She has recorded over 3000 songs in 20 languages. She has recorded for over three hundred films and has been the voice for many leading actresses, including Aishwarya Rai, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt to name a few. She has completed 20 years in the Indian music industry as a playback singer in 2022. Shreya Ghoshal has added another feather to her cap, receiving the prestigious Best Female Playback Singer award at the 69th National Film Awards in 2023

Shreya’s popularity grew incredibly internationally as well. The Governor of The State of Ohio, The United States of America, Ted Strickland, declared 26th June, 2010- as “World Shreya Ghoshal Day”, the first ever by an Indian in this field to own this acclamation and is celebrated annually by her fans across the globe. She has also received the highest honour by The House of Commons Of United Kingdom, for her stellar contribution to arts and has featured multiple times in the widely read “Forbes Magazine”, being listed as “Top 100 Celebrities” from India. Shreya Ghoshal is also the first Indian singer to be honoured with her wax statue at the Madame Tussaud’s Museum. She is also the only Indian Singer to be included in “Verve’s”, “50 Power Women Of 2016” list.

Shreya uses the social media to interact and stay in touch with her fans, making her the sixth most followed personality on Facebook and is unarguably one of the most searched music personalities on Google.

Shreya is equally appreciated for her work as a playback singer and as a live performer on stage. She has sold out many of her solo concerts and has successfully completed many world tours, including shows in the USA, UK, Australia- New Zealand, Europe and within India with remarkable box office figures. Few of her notable Live Concerts include her performances at Royal Albert Hall in UK, Saint Denis Festival in France, The Closing Ceremony of The Commonwealth Games, The Sydney Opera House amongst other landmark venues.

Although she was noticed through her performance on a reality show to earn her first break at sixteen, Shreya actually started her formal training in classical music at the tender age of six and has ever since aspired to be a singer. Her focus, dedication and determination has earned her many accolades and she regards her mother as her first “guru”. She then went on to become a judge in reality shows like “Indian Idol”, “X Factor” and a few others.

Unarguably, Shreya is an inspiration to millions and is the undisputed recording artiste of this generation, as quipped by the media. Shreya has to her credit Four National Film Awards, she has won Seven Filmfare awards for her work in Bollywood, Ten South Filmfare awards for her work in the south. She is also the recipient of many other recognitions and awards including the IIFA awards, Star Screen Awards, Radio Mirchi Awards and innumerable more.
